Were it so easy... I'm pretty sure love letters have become all but legend and I rarely use social media and the likes, which leaves me to the hard way. Face to face. Now if only I had the gut to do it.

Ah, but the hard way has the advantage of not having to look at your smartphone every 0.5 minutes waiting for an answer. ;-) And speaking from the experience of roughly double your age: That "lacking the guts" problem goes away all by itself, most of the time.
