what was the old url even?
Sep 27 2016 10:02 AM -

https://sinsoftheprophets.com/forums
I changed it so I can speed up the main page via caching. It also cleans up the directory and makes it less likely for me to accidentally the entire forum if I edit the homepage...

Oh yeah you can bypass SSL cert warnings. For if you're a sysadmin and do something stupid like allow the cert to expire :P
Jun 30 2016 10:35 PM -
sloosecannon
It's usually hidden in the "advanced" section of the warning.

Also Whitehalomongo was accessing the site via a "www" link, which went through CloudFlare instead of directly (because Sloose pulled a stupid on configuration).
Cloudflare MITMs the SSL, so he never got the warning.

Wut. How. How is dis posible
A website dedicated to making fun of bad code. And sometimes the ones that make it.
Also, I've really won on this one haven't I?
Although the number of times I've crashed myself is... disturbing.

I click on it, it opens a new tab, loads for a few seconds, then tells me 400 Bad Request. And nothing else happen. Is that supposed to be it?

Waking up at 0300 due to fire alarms: not fun. Turns out there was a centipede in the detector (!?!?) and it was all a false alarm.

A centipede?! How'd it even get in there?!

I honestly have no clue. I think it came from the attic. It was a tiny one that was apparently moving into the sensor and setting the entire house alarm off....
