Palmer and the Arbiter figure out its likely that the traitor who leaked the location of the summit also may know of the planetary defenses they are going towards. Palmer orders DeMarco and Fireteam Bailey (interesting that its not Majestic)to secure the area. The Arbiter and Lydus object both citing that they are warriors first. Palmer says they're the two sent here not to fight (lul Hood).
As soon as they leave they are attacked by a Lich which Palmer destroys by (you guessed it) throwing everyone's grenades in her helmet at it. (Pretty comical moment as even Palmer kind of makes fun of it) She says "I'm just going to throw my very expensive helmet past the bad guys."
Meanwhile Captain Lasky and Ray are in the communications room and are attacked by a gold armored elite. He's kinda badass, fights Spartan Ray pretty evenly, until Lasky thrashes him with a rifle giving Ray the chance for the headshot. Apparently the network itself is doing the jamming which Lasky deduces would require a lot of power. Ray is of course then able to track that power source.
Back with the Arbiter's group Palmer is getting choked out by an Elite when Scruggs saves her -Yoink!-. Hood finds a UNSC datapad on the Sangheili who was choking out Palmer. The datapad has dossiers on Hood, and all the humans on the mission. Palmer and Hood figure out that Jul's forces would never work with human tech.
Ray and Lasky steal some Banshees (I mean who hasn't in the Haloverse). Suddenly at the depot they are at all the Phantoms and banshees deploy. The duo figure out they're headed for the diplomatic party.
Lydus questions how the Arbiter can promise him security when he cannot even secure one world. Loud firing noises are heard. Palmer asks Scruggs to report in (he was sent ahead to secure the facility with the Arbiter's guards, Lydus' guards and a Spartan fireteam). Scruggs is the traitor he massacred all of them.
