Hey guys, I've been watching this mod for awhile. I downloaded the Rebellion alpha about a week ago and I've been enjoying it but I was missing the halo feeling for the maps. I couldn't find any map for the galaxy that was compatible with Rebellion so I made one myself. I tried to base it as much off the lore from the http://halo.wikia.com site for planet entries and using this map http://images3.wikia...by_Halcylon.jpg

So tell me where I can upload the map so its easiest for you guys who are interested can download it.

Firstly welcome.

I would hand put it on 4 shared or something. Maps are being worked on atm. Like my linear halo campaign map.

And don't think i'm being rude but i really dislike whoever made that fan map. the war was fought no further than 84 light years at earth at any one point (madrigal). Also all cov species hail from the orion arm as that was all that was not touched by the flood.

Not entirely true as the Librarian re-seeded the entire galaxy.

from what little she could save. Everything else was harvested into the flood. so i guess the rest of the galaxy is lifeless in terms of sentient species.

I don't want to be rude but that map is not accurate the Human covenant war took place in the Orion arm of the galaxy (minus a few forerunner instilations)

Its fine, it'll do.

We're pretty lore strict on here.

Large maps with gobs of stars are a really bad idea. SoaSE isn't made for it and you WILL run into crashes and mini-dumps that we have no control over. If you proceed remember to not report them as bugs or errors to us.

If I remember its smaller than the random - vast map on the game. I think it has a little under 100 planets.

IIRC she got a lot of species recorded in the library. We just haven't seen any of the others yet.

"sentient species" Humanity and cov was all that was left in the jat-krula sphere.

You would fair better with making a map that has multiple stars but of the BIG systems like Reach and Sol and other massive systems. Throw out the other smaller ones.

Yeah, systems like the one which had Reach had several colonies within it.

You'd be better off doing something like say(or it'd be an option)... one star = inner colonies (perhaps with Reach being the gateway to the star/other systems, or connecting to Earth and the few other innermost colonies?) second star (or two) being outer colonies/border locations, with the final one being "Covenant held space" including a few named Covenant planets.

So, star A = inner colonies, star B being outer colonies. C is border planets, D being Covenant held space and E being Covenant homeworlds?

Random though.
