Now that the Kilo-Five trilogy is over I had to wonder what Parangosky's future role in the Haloverse will be.  For a bit I thought it would end with her being too sick/ old an being suggested to be dead by the time Halo 4's plot played out...but then I took a look at my Infinity briefing packet in Halo 4 and found something.

I realize this is an awkward note. We're both old and wise enough to know there's no love lost between us, but i know that, differences aside, you do care about our success. I also realize you're not here under ideal conditions. You should accept both the reasoning behind and, bluntly, your own responsibility, for this matter.

When we started this project, it was a desperate dream. Create a <<REDACTED>> that could engage the Covenant on its own level. With brute force, with massive firepower, and with unflinching, unyielding ferocity.

Of course, the Spartans, or more accurately, <<REDACTED>>, saved us. And your agency in this is not unappreciated - in some circles. They stopped the war before the <<REDACTED>> was complete. The brief moments of peace we had were not wasted. Some of us knew this couldn't last. So we kept going. And now our desperate dream is real.

But things have changed. We are not fighting the kind of war we all lived through. So <<REDACTED>> has become something new. It has become a missive we fire out into the Universe that will give our enemies a simple warning: we are not afraid. We will not shrink from battle. We will not be cowed. We will force with greater force. We are Humanity. And we are ascendant.

The engines work because you <<REDACTED>>. The <<REDACTED>> was completed because of your research. But this is bigger than you. Bigger than us. I have no right to ask anything of you on a personal level, so i am appealing to you on a professional level.

I have not even read this book, or the ones before it, but the thing is obviously infinity, I mean come on, could it be any more obvious? And what I said was not a spoiler, just common sense.

We already knew where, how, and why infinity was built, this simply states that infinity brings humanity to the next level, on a galactic scale.

also, parangosky is probably dead, osman is now head of ONI, as seen in spartan ops when she orders halsey executed, she even states that she shall take her predecessor's advice, and kill halsey.

This gives no hints at all as to what Parangosky does. This is a letter from her to Halsey, which is really odd, because Big Maggie was pretty adamant that Osman just kill her. And Stark, you are awful at handling thread naming and spoilers.

 

Given that she's ~93 in the last book and humans live quite a bit longer during this time period, she likely just retired after Osman finished up her little tour at the end of the last book.

Why would I put spoilers on a source that's a year and a half old?

No Parangosky isn't dead.  She sent that letter to Halsey during the Requiem Campaign.  This isn't in Mortal Dicata, its in the Halo 4 Limited Edition.  I am just surprised I missed this.

Stark, if people would like a disclaimer saying they want spoilers in the title, it does not matter what or where the spoiler is from. Just put a spoiler in the name so we can move on to the threads discussion, or i will do it myself, or, if this continues, i will lock it.

Oh is unfairly banning part of "messing with each other".  I don't want to be banned, but if you lot have such a big problem with everything I do the solution is there.
