Mighty morphing paris frigates?

ScreenShot_0.png

On that note, 9 hours into this game. Covenant AI on hard seems to go down hill the longer you play, and begins to derp out and enjoy building massive fleets of covenant planetary bombardment frigates. And never attacks when on aggressive heroic. Besides almost steamrolling me in the begining, its currently a stalemate. and the AI hasn't attacked me in ages. I think it might be a glitch of some sort, Agressive AI doesn't seem to even bother to attack planets he know he won't get, so he just sits and waits for an attack. Btw. The map i'm playing is Medium - Gemini. if anyone knows the layout. Oh, and the AI has plenty, if not more resources than i do currently in the picture, so its not a matter of resources.

Tomorrow i plan to finish it :D

(Paris frigates were later lost to a flood planet because when you kill the NPC's there, they respawn; in force..)

Great job guys, love the mod.

K den, thats a lot of frigates.

Welcome to the Forums! and If your going to spam something, spam Halcs and Thanys, late in game, Covies will pulverize you with just frigates (still love that mega cluster though). and if thats the case with your stalemate, try routing through the star, it should let you steamroll them.

Nonono, it's not strictly Halcyons. It's probably a 2-1 ratio of destroyers to Halcyons. If you can, roll them in first so they can take the first wave of plasma torpedoes (I don't remember the 3 or 4 phases of battle, somebody enlighten me) and then have your destroyers engage the big ships first, CCSs, CPVs, capital ships, etc. And the absolute best fleet against the flood is a 2-1 ratio for mako corvettes to destroyers so your ships don't get captured but you're still dishing out damage to destroy their carriers. Autumn class cruisers are AMAZING for fleet engagements, provided you have (which at this point you should) an astronomical amount of credits to blow. Make sure you upgrade them with the Spartan Boarding Party so you can jack a ton of their ships in the first wave that both take fire for you and do damage.

Speaking of which, is there any way to set an automatic upgrade path for Capital Ships? It's incredibly aggravating to have to sort through 42 capital ships and upgrade them with specific upgrades for each.

That just randomly upgrades it though. I learned my lesson when I selected that and half of my fleet didn't have nukes.
