No not the song.

I may have a kinda over active imagination but I really sat and thought about what it would be like to witness a Covenant attack and man would it be scary.

Imagine you're just chillin going about your day as a citizen of the UEG/UNSC and bam. Covenant attack. Massive ships descend from the heavens and swarms of fighter craft start bombing indescriminately. At this point you can assume that the local fleet has either been smashed, retreated or simply chose not to wound what they couldn't kill. Now you and several million other people are facing their own personal armagedon. Explosions everywhere. Physically and technologically superior aliens killing civilians and soldiers alike. Carnage. Death. Plasma. The whole ordeal would be quite a tale for the grandkids. If you didn't catch an energy sword to the gut. Or cross paths with a raging brute.

Wittnessing a glassing would also be pretty surreal. In a "omg we're gonna die" sorta way.

Basically nuclear war, it would kinda be cool before you died anyways.

Mainly because assuming it's at a early point in the war you would know almost nothing and just like damn.

It would have been worse for the Covenant if they invaded Earth around 900 years ago and started in Scotland. Yeah they had glassing cannons but we had that wacko Mel Gibson.
Spoiler

The one rare instance I'd pitty the Covenant. :D

That film is so historically inaccurate.

Fuck that British, and German knights, British long bowmen, Irish skirmishers from medieval times would obliterate the covenant.

Cromwell's ironsides, Macedonian pikemen, First rate hoplites, American minutemen, native americans and the like could obliterate the covenant.

Oh and currently the gurkhas could make anything run. Considering one of them was outnumbered 10 to 1 and chased them off with nothing but a mess tin and spoon.

Yeah also Robert the Bruce never sided with the Longshanks to betray Wallace, thats just thrown in for a dramatic plot twist.

Ahhhh but don't ya know "Historians from England will say I am a liar, but history is written by those who have hanged heroes."  I remain convinced that Wallace did impregnate the queen of England.

She would have been about 10 at the age of wallaces execution. She was only sent to england at the age of 12. And became queen 3 years after Wallaces death.

Kidding, haha.  The biggest historical inaccuracy I saw with the film was that they didn't include Stirling Bridge at the Battle of Stirling Bridge...

Edit: the historical inaccuracy that bugged me the most
