I resonantly had a Few ideas but was afraid that if I posted them seperatly they would spam the forum.... so yah... just a hanger of ideas thread, will they dry, or will those wrinkles for ever damage the fine silk.

 

 

Audio Idea

1.Missionary ships in MOD are as of now voiced by the scout ship (I think any way) from the Base game. Id be ok with this but no one in the covenant sounded like that... to my knowledge. I suggest in stead for a replacement we use Jackal Sound clips from halo wars. I say jackal sound clips because Jackals were the ones who primarily commanded these vessels as they wernt covenant in origin but infact Jackal make.

We could even make it a Easter egg where the nipple college clip would be played at rare times from halo 3.

 

Graphic Ideas

I had one but forgot it... Ill be back to this sooner or later

 

 

Game Play Ideas

1. Species weapons: it would be cool if each Faction had a upgrade that could allow for a anti race Faction Effect effect.

For the Covenant you could upgrade Missionary ships with the "Locator of the Forgotten", This will give Missonary ships the ability to Ping, Any Human or Forerunner enemy planets with in 2 phase lanes. Making easier to scout planets knowing who you might run into. You don't get to see what they have built there but you get a number of how much is there, ships and buildings are combined in this number so in truth you dont get much

Humans could get Flood Fire, This allows for Building ships and Scout ships to burn flood off of buildings giving your control again.

and forerunner... well I don't know...

 

2.Once Titans are introduced in game I was thinking for boths abilities.

The Super Carrier Could have a Swarm Ability where it spawns in SDV- Class Heavy Corvettes which spawn in 4 Banshee squads each.

The Infinity I havnt thought of sadly

 

ALso I think ANchor 9 should have a Anti Titan ability where it will send a Slip space bomb to a Titan ship and will blow it up instantly, the bomb could be shot down and it could only shoot every 5 minutes giving it balance, but ignoring the bomb could be devastating to your fleet as it doesn't just destroy the titans but all ships near it, and if its to close to the station it will destroy the station as well.

The slipspace bomb is NEVER getting in. It was an improv weapon using the lost expensive piece of tech made by mankind, it's not a field weapon. Might as well put in the Nova bomb if we're going for destruction on that scale. The Missionary (now the Spook) has been changed in VO. Species weapons probably won't happen due to hardcoding limits and just being plain stupid. Each faction will get it's own respective techs in due time. The Titans will get abilities once they are in, we have plans for them. Anti-Titan weapons with a cooldown of 5 minutes? When it takes over 5 minutes to build a Titan? (In the base game anyhow, I imagine they'll be changed eventually) That's incredibly overpowered. The anchor is already incredibly powerful and can handle any threat you throw at it. Most balance issues will be dealt with by the balance team. I'd suggest looking around the forums a bit before making threads, a lot of these are repeaters.

The plot device will never be in. And the Super Destroyer is not large enough for the ability you suggested.

As for slipspace bomb, Imagine us today fending off an alien invasion by throwing large hadron colliders (5Bn), launched into space by gold plated rockets, with several Nuclear reactors, whilst coated with diamonds, filled with californium and tritium for good luck, whilst building a fleet of supercarriers with B2 spirit bombers to launch, some astute class subs with ICBMs for protection and whilst building all this with millions of the worlds best minds, paying the whatever they want because it won't work, all the meanwhile keeping the whole world on LSD so they forget what they're doing.

That is what it would be like for us today to do the same.

I doubt that the UNSC would be willing to pay for the most expensive piece of equipment made by man into space.

This. Towards the end of the war, even nuclear weapons were uncommon. They aren't going to waste slipspace drives unless driven by sheer desperation, as seen in Halo: Reach. The UNSC, like many modern militaries, went for the lowest bidder. There's a reason they built a fuckton of Parises, Charon's, and Marathons and not a ton of Infinity's.

If they are voiced by the scout ship, they are definitely going to get a new voice-over (or already got one).

The Covenant scout ship, previously the missionary, now the Spook, has a new voice actor.
