Random thought, imagine if the huragok were actually using the covenant, since the covenant are looking forerunner artifacts etc... what if the huragok collectively decided to allow the covenant to enslave them because i'm quite sure the huragok can cause allot of trouble for them i mean really they can pull apart and put together any technology. Remembering the Didact has the technology to some how Evolve. What if the huragoks decided to do this so they can use the covenants resources to find this technology.

what if they do find this technology and use it? That could mean a new (not so new) race that could be an ally for the human race. (Since we treated them so nice )

what do you guys/girls think?

Moved to Halo lore  ;) I think the Huragok are a rather... simple race. They have one thing in mind, to fix things, i doubt that they would formulate a plan like this, especially with the covenants high powered bombs strapped to there backs.

Being an artificial life form created by the Forerunners, I'm pleasantly surprised that Huragok display great compassion and caring for one another (Sadie's Story). If they somehow evolved further sociologically/consciously, they would probably form their equivalent of the Assembly for AIs.

I love engineers, easily one of my favorite alien races.

I think sadies story was quite beautiful, it definitely deserves more recognition.

I wouldn't say their simple, i would say they're innocent, they just want to fix things, and if it were not for the covenant the one outside of the bunkers may have died out, Or just multiplied and multiplied because they have nothing else to do, until they conquer the galaxy using their non violent ways.

Look at him, majestic as fuck.

Wonder if they had a simpler origin like before the Forerunners created them they used a simple jellyfish like organism(as a template to build from) and fundamentally changed them into the biological super computers we know them as, reminicent of the Vorta's origin story from ST: DS9, simple tree dwelling ape like creatures that ate fruit, the Founders had them changed into the fully sentient diplomat/spokes persons, the voice of the Founders.
