I really want to have fun with this mod. I've waited so long for a space RTS of Halo. Seriously I've been dreaming of it since 2007 when I first played Halo 2 at the ripe old age of 13. The polish is great and the devs are involved and active.

But....something about the limitations of the Haloverse and the Sins game platform just makes it bland. I spam early game ships as Cov and attack. Then I spam midgame ships and attack. Then...I add some heavy capitals and maraud around the USNC.

As UNSC, I spam early game ships and defend/setup economy. I hold the line in the midgame with midgame ships, then I mass attack and wear down the Cov repeatedly until I win.

It's just...bland. It's an unfortunate product of the Haloverse that everything on both sides is highly standardized

But I guess that's "realistic" (an effective military standardizes hardware)

Any input? I want to enjoy this!

Sins is the kind of game that requires you to build your own story. Did the Covies shoot your favorite Marathon? Maybe it's time for payback. Playing with more than one ally allows for politics to come into play. Playing with other humans will increase your enjoyment 10 fold.

Learn how to make a fleet, never spam just one unit.

Learn how to do alliances, play a match 1v1 then 2v2, 3v3 and so on. create personal narratives, think of stories, think of the crew on each of your ships.

Increasing the difficulty might be useful too.

You mean in the public release just spam Thanatos to your way to victory.

Who cares about people on those ships? They are simply means to an end for my victory. Good cannon fodder they are.
