Poll: Updating Playter Portraits (79 member(s) have cast votes)

Should we scrap the old player portraits or just add more to the list?

  1. Scrap old player potraits and start over with whatever is chosen. (2 votes [2.53%] - View)

Player portraits really need an update, but I say keep the old ones, for they aren't that bad.

 

I feel like adding Spartans isn't a bad idea. I understand they weren't supposed to be fleet commanders, but it wouldn't be too much of a problem. If that makes some fans happy, why not?  Furthermore, Jackals are represented in Covenant's portraits, and as far as I can remember, they've never been Fleet Masters.

 

Putting in known characters is another idea I don't dislike. I would love to pick up an Arbiter's portrait, or even Rtas. More Prophets, too.

I'm not entirely sure if this has been added, but... for a better roleplaying experience, how about adding Captain Cutter's portrait? Yes, I'm aware he's just a Captain. Yes, I'm aware he and his ship along with all hands was lost during the heavy fighting in 2531 (Missing In Action, I mean), but for the added... drama of building Phoenix-class ships, people would love to see themselves painted as Captain James Gregory Cutter.

I'd love to see Thel, Rtas, Ripa, and Jul (perhaps Merg Vol as well).  Then Lord Hood, Lasky, Osman, perhaps Paragnosky, Cutter, and the two Keys.

I can tell you guys right now we're not going to have 8 variations on an Elite. We can do ones that are visually pretty different, but not a huge gob of them.

By visually different I mean different coloration and armor. An Arbiter is very likely.

Is it only me or do the potraits seem rather dark?

Ackerson and Sav Fel would probably make good portrait additions. Or maybe some Flood pictures like a Gravemind.


Ackerson was an army colonel and had no affiliation with the navy...

Right, Jul, Rtas, and Thel all have very different Armor...Merg I can see as he's just a Jul clone.

The solution I would think is best would be to include a generic arbiter and then have Kaidon Thel from post Halo 3.
