I read through the read me, did the large address aware, did not apply the mod ingame(I did it using the enabled mods.exe that comes with the mod), and im still getting a mini dump whenever i try to play a game. I get to the main menu, hit the single player, get my game set up, but it crashes at the loading screen every single time, and always in the same spot.
Help with getting this mod to run!

Try reinstalling, it may be a corrupt download.

Or look into your mod Folder. If there is a single Folder in it take that one into the mod Folder.

Yes, I have got the mod to work before, I have installed it properly many times, but it keeps doing this if i dont play for extended periods of time, and usually i can get it to work again. I only posted this after a week of fiddling around and trying all sorts of things.

Okay, thank you for the suggestions everyone, after reinstalling SoaSE and reinstalling SotP it no9w works, i am unsure as to what exactly caused the issue however.

How old is your PC? If this is recurring it sounds like a hard drive issue to me. Could be starting to fail. Getting any BSODs or unexpected shutdowns?

Also, with the previosu times this has happened, a fresh install of the mod was what got it runnign again. One time was because I fiddled with some stuff in the mod files(Oops), this is the first time ive had to reinstall SoaSE.

I have a slight question to ask...
Now the mod runs perfectly fine on my laptop... but I've been hesitating to do anything with the anisotropic settings? can someone please explain to me what they do? and would they help me run the mod better?

They're for a better looking game. Does something with shadow smoothing I believe. How it impacts your game is up in the air.

Anisotropic filtering is the best method of mip mapping. Viewing models at an oblique angle (anything not straight ahead of you) will tell the renderer to make the textures on those angled polygons to use a smaller version of its texture. Anisotropic filtering takes it a step further, and accounts for the orientation of the camera against the model you are viewing, by making only 1 dimension of the texture smaller. Anisotropic filtering won't take up much more memory than bilinear filtering, and will not cause much slow down unless your machine is very old, so I'd recommend setting to its max level of x16. The difference in quality is worth it.
