So I start up SotP and everything loads in fine and well but if I attempt to start a game (doesn't matter on size or who is playing), The mod will progress to the loading screen and after a short amount of time a error will appear (when closed its followed by another pop-up claiming its been reported and put in a dump file or something along those lines) and the game will crash in the traditional windows style, not sure if this problem has been noted and fixed anywhere else but I can't find a fix for it.

This is a problem for the Moddb and Nexus download, however the google drive download is fine. But I do not believe the google drive download is up to date with the current development stage of the mod.

I can live with the old version but It'd be great for someone to help me with this new version.

Are you sure that there were no interruptions during your download? Data might have gotten corrupted. Sounds like files are missing if it's crashing on load.

Your downloads are being corrupted. Do you have shoddy internet?

I'm from the UK and in a semi-rural area, my internet (according to speednet) is 65% slower than the rest of the country. I have downloaded larger mods than this and there not been any mention of corruption however when I do download it is unpredictable with speed (specifically Moddb) as it alternates between a day and 15 minutes, I usually just wait until I get a 15 minute prediction and it just downloads.

I don't think its a corrupt download cause I've downloaded it 6 times (3 moddb and 3 Nexus) and still it doesn't work with the same bug.

Are you signed into ModDB while downloading? They shove guests off to another server. And yes, it is your mod getting corrupted. There are 20,000 other people who didn't run into this issue and play the mod just fine. It's not something on our end, we're just trying to help you figure out how to fix whatever is going on on your end.

No dice, same error. what is the size of the mod fully? cause unpacked it is 1.7 GB (zipped = 795/796). Im going to try downloading the google drive version and put the new version files on top and let everything replace everything and see how it goes

That works - You can check the mod checksum too - I'm sure someone here can give you the checksum for the latest version. If it's not the same, you've got corruption somewhere. (I'd get it myself but that version isn't installed on my laptop atm...)
