You need to work on your rhetorical questions. They should probably be more like 'I should but Rebellion for the mod, shouldn't I'? or 'I I'm buying Rebellion for Sotp and there is nothing you can do to stop me, is there?'

On to the more important note, you should buy it. 1, Rebellion is a great game one it's own. 2, if you like Halo, you'll love this. For instance, there are Halo rings and Shield Worlds ingame. 3, there are other great mods for rebellion (examples include Dawn Of The Reapers, Star Wars something something and Star Trek something something). 4, this mod itself is great fun. Attempt at surviving the endless and unbeatable Flood, kinda reenact any of the major battles from the story and play as the diverse and asymmetric factions of the UNSC, Covenant and at some point (hopefully) Forerunners! 5, beatuiful graphics. I'm serious when I say the moddlers have done a amazing good on the ship designs and what not. Good job guys, keep up the good work. We also have game nights now and then between each other if people want to join, there good fun. Plus Infinity is coming out the next big update. Infinity. And they announced Mantles Approach. But, as much as I love the mod, I do have to say that $40 is a bit. If you're ONLY gonna play Sotp and not vanila or any other mods, wait for it to go on sale then buy it unless you want it like I did. If you're gonna play more mods and vanila, BUY IT!

That's what I did lol I was looking for a halo RTS that had balance and I saw a youtube video on this mod and I checked it out after that video I bought the game instantly sadly I bought trinity and rebellion so I spent $80 just to play this mod but I love it and it's one of my favorite games I've ever played.

I'm with Andy here, watched a couple videos, looked at the forums, and loved it and was like screw it, this looks awesome and bought it

I did.

And it was worth it.

You could wait for a steam sale, it goes on sale every now and then. I waited for the Christmas sale (2 years ago) and bought it at €6.

Both the base game, the Halo mod, and several other mods make it worth buying. However, the game is still $40 on Steam despite being several years old, so I would still recommend waiting until some sort of sale, just on the off chance that any part of it might not be to your liking.

Star Wars something something and Star Trek something something).

You're thinking of Sins of a Galactic Empire and Star Trek Armada 3, both of which we've worked closely with in the past. (Also, Star Trek Sacrifice of Angels 2).

The modding community is pretty fantastic for the game, and it makes for a very replayable game.

As others have mentioned, it is $40, which is a bit high. If you want to wait, it usually goes on sale several times  a year and almost every Steam sale (what's the next one, the "several weeks after Valentine's day mid-winter-spring Sale" or something?)

I started off with the original Soase and have bought every rendition since. I've played so many great mods on each iteration but had a blast with the vanilla aspects of each. It's a fun series and Rebellion is by far the best entry so far.

The mods available for this game make it worth it.

I personally think it is worth it, maybe wait for a sale if you are unsure. If you go to the Moddb site, then you can check out the mods for the game, really many good ones.
