Whenever I activate the mod, it will take me to the mod specific loading screen, show me a cursor, and then freeze several seconds later. When I tab out it gives me the crash report and then the minidump.

I have tried:

LAA (Large Address Aware) and then activating through the menu

Activating the mod through EnabledMods.txt (this does nothing at all with this mod- it will not activate SotP, but it will activate other mods)

Changing the name of the folder to reduce the length of the file path and such

Verifying integrity of game cache for Rebellion on Steam

Doing a clean install of Rebellion on Steam

Doing two clean installs, with two different downloads of the installer, of the mod

I made sure it's in the 1.82 folder.

I'm hoping that I've just done something super stupid that there's a quick fix for. But I've been racking my brain and I can think of nothing.

So, yeah, there is literally no reason this shouldn't work. If you're attempting to activate the mod and it's not loading the mod it's very likely you're trying to activate the parent folder of the mod's folder, rather than the mod itself.

The mod's folder name is: "SotP Alpha v_0_56_1" NOT "SotP Alpha v.0.56.1"

A sample of folders you should see inside your mod's folder when looking "Galaxy, Gameinfo, Mesh, Movie, etc." If you're seeing stuff like the LAA.exe and the installation instructions text, you need to go one folder deeper. And yes, enabling through the in-game mod menu will almost always result in a crash. That's Ironclad's fault.

No, it's "properly" installed - if he's seeing the loading screen it's getting pulled from somewhere.
@OP - Are you sure you're putting the exact folder name in when you use the enabledmods file?

Copy this and paste it into your "enabledmods.txt":

TXT
Version 0
enabledModNameCount 1
enabledModName "SotP Alpha v_0_56_1"

Don't forget to save the text file btw.
