This will be a discussion of the plot details of Halo: Hunters in the Dark.  Naturally it will be a Spoiler heavy discussion so if you'd not read the book and intend to/ don't want to be spoiled I'd wait before reading further.

I thought it was a really good book, although I was not really a big fan of Earth being attacked for the third time in less than a decade by alien forces.  And the Home Fleet being decimated...again.  It's also lol worthy that Lasky thinks "They are the giants now" after the events of this novel.

wait, there is a new book? Is there only that one or will it be a trilogy again? i only have read the Dr. who books recently and didn't really follow the progress with the halo books.

to the home fleet thing, maybe they should rename them the "unlucky Poland Defence" fleet, "wrong time at the wrong place" fleet or the "Kenny" fleet...

Holy Shit, this book was a good read.

How fucking badass was N'tho when he projected the Mahyem into the Portal? This book depicts Sangheili how they should really be: badasses.

Also loved to see the Ark again. Not been a fan of some plot-twisting "Deus Ex Machina", but then again, really interesting read.
