So I was reading the Canon fodder threads, and at a certain point they publicized this "Hunt the Signal" campaign on their forums on Waypoint. And they described it as the demonstration for how an amazing communtiy Halo is.

So there was this link, and I checked it to see what it was. I went to the last page of the thread to find out the most recent news.

It's not entirely their fault, but they could be less "We have the best community ever! Check it out!" when if you check it out, it sucks.

P.S. Just so that you know I am not one-sided against 343i, I reported to lock this thread the same day I created it when I found out it was actually a serious thing, hence the new thread, saying "I made a big mistake".

You realize we are part of that community right? Personally, I do feel that the Halo community is the best gaming community around. I've been in it since 2001. Been an active member online since 2004. I've joined other communities. None compare. Though, to be quite honest, /r/HaloStory has the best part of the Halo community.

I do realize. But as I can call Italy a shitty country although I live in it, I can say the Halo community sucks while not saying that EVERY person in the Halo community sucks. I have also always said in many of my posts, and those of you that have read them can prove it, that I find this forum the best forum I've visited, and I love this community. Yes, I generalized, and I apologize.

 

Although you've been clearly in the community longer than I have been, my personal experience has always proved me that the majority of the members of the Halo community are hostile against whoever begs to disagree, and start insulting or, even worse in my opinion, emarginize you from everything. I participated in many discussions with people who said things without proper knowledge of anything at all, stating things that are hardly believable, and yet managed to get most of the support and to get me kicked out of the discussion. I've seen people telling you to shut up over xbox live in games when you tried to coordinate the team. Or behaving childish and selfish in the matches.

 

I'm not trying to make drama, I'm just stating my experiences. That are what makes me think the Halo community generally sucks.
