Well shit, I'm a bit unsure of whether to give it to you but I'm gonna because my riddle has gone on long enough and, anyway, it is basically correct
The main answer I wanted was the reversed message in Mausoleum Suite who everybody assumes is the Gravemind speaking about itself/someone else. So yes, the being he is referring to is basically what I was looking for. That or Destroyer's Invocation, the name of the song the message is in.
