Favorite Halo Games

I'll be updating this list at some point with reasons for every game. Also, Wars is not included because it isn't a shooter.
1. Halo 2
2(?). H5, if it's as good as the MP beta was.
2(?). Otherwise, ODST ODST was an extremely fun game, with a dark feel, amazing weapon balance, and a bit more difficult than 3. However, I still felt that I was playing as a spartan, with invisible shields. I guess I'm just saying that ODST should have been harder and had different mechanics.
3. 3
4. Reach
5. 4
6. CE [b]Why is the original below H4? It just didn't feel polished. The vehicles were like driving on ice, half the weapons were OP, and overall it felt incomplete. However, I don't hold this against it. It was the first in the series, and the others only improved upon it, each in its way.

Wars is not included because it isn't a shooter.
2) Halo Wars
2) Halo Wars
This made me laugh.
1. Reach - Best Gameplay.
2. Halo CE - Just classic. Made me what I am.
3. Halo 2 - Epic soundtrack, story developments.
4. ODST - Firefight, mothafuckas!
- Halo Wars honorable mention. Very good for a console RTS.
5. Halo 3 - Good all around, not particularly spectacular. It's also disappointingly easy after Halo 2's sheer brutality.
6. Halo 4 - Poorly optimized, clunky menus, matchmaking was a nightmare.

This made me laugh.
I thought it was dumb rule so I'm not following it. Halo Wars is a Halo game.

4) Halo Wars

1.Halo CE
I understand peoples arguments. I guess you just had to have played it when it originally came out to understand its magic. Truly a turning point for games, at least for me.
2.Halo 3
3.Halo 3 ODST
Really just a great little story, with great mechanics and a cool different, yet the same setting. I really want another game like this.
4.Halo 2
5. Halo Reach
6. Halo 4
7. Halo Wars
Bottom of the list not because it was a bad game, in fact it was probably one of the best console rts-es you could get. With some simple adjustments I think it could of been tonnes better.
I wish it was like its original E3 demo

Do you really have a favourite Halo over the others?
I couldn't decide. What would make me like Halo 3 over Halo 2?
Absolutely nothing. Halo 3 was a masterpiece just as Halo 2 was. If I were to choose one for the rest of my life, I would choose no one, for playing one of the Halo without its prequels and sequels wouldn't bring me any joice.

Amen brother!
The Halo games all follow the same story for a reason! You can't experience one without the other. Imagine waking up in Forward Unto Dawn not knowing who the hell you are, where you are or what has happened? Imagine not knowing of the tragic and heroic sacrifices of Reach, Harvest or Earth? Going to a place to stop all the Halo rings, without knowing what they are? A story is meant to be played in order and together. Yes they all do have their ups and downs, some a bit better than others but it will always be a universal experience. You can easily choose your favourite CoD game for all I care, they aren't about the story but not Halo. Halo has being going for 14 years and will continue going for many years to come but it will always have the same story. It will always go together. It will always be a multiply-game experience. So, no, I don't think it is possible to choose a single favourite Halo game, for doing that would basically be saying that one can be played without the other. And that, that would be the ultimate sin.
I learn from the past, enjoy the present and look forward to the future.
