343 posted a sprint video with a page from the script of Halo 5.  Now this could be a marketing ploy, but the potential as to what the script reads are as follows:

You can read the script and the additional transcripts if you scroll.  But to summarize:

Infinity is destroyed.

MC is killed by the Warden Eternal.

Also about the chief I certainly dont want him to be dead but... If he is really dead that would open quite some interesting paths for the Halo saga. Specially since they would need a new main charachter.

I think he's either faking his death or its a fake script.  But I doubt he's down for the count.

Eh, I would take the whole thing with a grain of salt. By including it in the trailer, its obviously intended to mislead us.

Most likely just a PR thing to ramp up hype for the game and it's story. Stephan Amell did a similar thing for Arrow after the season 3 mid season finale.

I understand this but, it just seems all too likely, idk if you guys are keeping up with season two of hunt the truth but

the NCA had video proof that the chief was dead in the collapse of the city. And the live action trailer was probably about the same thing

so why would they have two different stories when they are trying to make the first one real. Why would they try to fake a leak that doesn't follow what they say? It seems to me it might just be legit :/

They had video footage of a human, possibly a Spartan, in Mjolnir armour being crushed by a building. There isn't any evidence to suggest it was the Chief under that armour.

This is ONI your talking about. Their biggest asset has gone AWOL and Humanity is on the brink of civil war, whats less likely to cause a war? telling everyone your hero has died valiantly saving civilians or that his AWOL for unknown reasons?

They are going against what they are setting up. I feel like they have a legitimate leak cause they weren't paying attention. I agree, although in the defense of the believers, 343 did accidentally leak Halo 4's ending like this before.
