Yeah I agree with Uni. Just build more Mako Corvettes and enjoy the British(?) accents.

Despite the fact that Uni already said no I still will continue the conversation a bit, In reality the destroyers of the UNSC fleet for the mod do not need to have Anti Strikecraft capabilities. They have two powerful (relatively speaking) mac guns that can target 2 individual ships (at least that is how it appears when i watch them take on other ships, decent armor plating to stand up to frigates, and great amounts of speed to allowing them to be a well rounded vessel. If you want Anti Strike craft capability then I suggest you just build enough mako corvettes. Plus if every ship in the UNSC could handle every role then different ship classes would be redundant.

30 mako corvettes in a large battlegroup (200-300 ships) will handle all of your anti air problems, no joke, just 30 of them

Not exactly since alot of the mako corvettes tend to break formation to chase down fighters which is a problem unless you are constantly micro managing their location to keep up with the fleet.

mine stay near the heart of my fleet, while the longswords engage most of the enemy strikecraft. anything that makes it through is shredded by those makos

Or you could just upgrade the AA guns in the research tab and use charons or paris class frigates to act as makos except with mac cannon capability since they already have pretty decent AA dmg

yeah, but you have to manually target the strikecraft for that to work effectively, the makos attack strikecraft automatically with no orders

I've seen frigates auto target strike craft with their helix's the only reason it shows that as what they are doing is because their primary weapons are macs which can't be used on strike craft (but would be so fucking cool to do)

thats when all that is in range of the frigate at the time are the strikecraft. in a fleet engagement, this is rare (at least for me it is)

Keep in mind though that when a fleet enters an opposing fleets grav well if all ships are set to hold position they literally wait for any strikecraft to come into range and then they are given more holes in them a piece of swiss cheese.

As does mine but i'm sure there is no amount of strikecraft that a sufficient number of mako's can't handle (say 100 maybe 150) sure it would eat up alot of your fleet capacity but it would work .... or you could just build crazy amount of eions... or supers.... athens...hell IDK TAKE YOUR PICK LADIES AND GENTS!

even if they are it doesn't matter because the rate at which the strike craft turn still brings them within range of the mako

1 supercarrier, 3 athens, and 50 marathons will give you over 100 strike craft after leveling up those capital ships decently
