Greetings,

I've been always wondering how does the described damage of weapons on ships and structures work. On the description table of e.g. Paris class frigate you can see the set damage of MAC, Archer missiles and AA guns. The MAC damage is in reality much higher than described in the information tab so does anyone here know what does the damage represent? Also is the damage number of a weapon in the information tab set for a each one weapon ( like a missile launch pod or a specific AA cannon mounted on the ship ) or is there some sorf of a hidden equasion for the overall damage for that type of weapon?

It's not really a big thing, but it kinda helps if you wanna get more into the game.

The number listed on the info panel is damage per second.

Oh, alrighty then. Thanks. But why is the listed damage so low, when in reality it seems much higher?

Weapon cooldown is factored into damage per second. When the info panel says, "Average MAC damage: 14," that is literally the amount of damage dealt, and divided by the number of seconds of cooldown between shots.

If MAC damage is 1000 per shot maybe and MAC cooldown is 75 seconds. The dps of that would be about 13.

Weapon damage mechanics

-Is sad. Very sad.

This game needs Part II. Definitely needs. With improved animations etx. But... actually, who cares, when you send forward 150 Halcyons and don't even think to look at them somehow close.

Yes... But without radical changes like in Tiberium Wars. I mean anything the same in main part, but deeply enhanced. For example, it would be great if Phoenix-class ass-ship finally will have rotating turrets and all other detailed stuff. +Other stuff.

There are many problems in Sins mechanics. Well, not to mentoin problems, but uncomfortable lines. That's why modding here can be tiersome, if you're going to change the world inside the box.

C&C 4 never happened.

I really hope Ironclad surprises us with Sins 2, that would be the best.

The infocards are basically full of shit as they take into account the total DPS of all banks. They don't even make any mention of say, if part of that DPS is to the left/right or rear.
