Hello, I downloaded the setup.exe for the mod multiple times and the file always opens to an InstallShield error stating "Error reading setup initialization file". I am incapable of installing the mod. Has anyone else received a similar issue? I tried the search box but saw nothing really the same though I may have overlooked something. I really hope someone can help me resolve this error, thank you.

Yes, I have tried running as administrator. Just to make sure, I tried again not a moment ago and unfortunately the error persists.

Yes, the error message looks like that, barring the window theme itself. I guess I should have mentioned my OS? I'm unsure if it makes a difference: Windows 8 64 bit.

This error is usually the result of an unsuccessful download. Sometimes an installer package will have appeared to have downloaded successfully, because no error message was given about the download; however, you will not always receive an error message when the entire file was not downloaded successfully. When you run the exe file, it has enough information available to start running, but it will only get far enough to provide the error message shown above. Since it does not have the complete file content, it will not be able to read the setup inititializaton file.

But I've only tried running the file when it's completed downloading, as far as the browser has said at least, at least four times now with the same error each time. I will try using internet explorer as I have been using Google Chrome. Could that be responsible? Thoughts?

How clumsy of me! Apparently all I had to do was use Internet Explorer to download the mod. It seems that Google Chrome downloading it caused the eventual error. I played the game for a short amount of time and I must say I'm impressed and think the download time was well worth it. Thank you, everyone for your input.

Yeah works for me too. Weird. And they have the market share now, wonder why this is the only case of this that we've seen.

I use Internet Download Manager. It works well for me. Can download anything from anywhere.
