Mods looking great and excelent that a playable version of it has finaly come out (and with plenty of polish).

Anywho while there are plenty of things i think look sexy, these are a few things I think could be looked at.
  • Flood award too much exp.
  • Weapons are too strong (Flood even more so when they have around 200 ships in thier fleet).
  • Some descriptions like the "Shiva Nuclear Missile" are too vague and hard to read and understand thier in game mechanics.
  • The "Valiant" voice acting is incredibly annoying.
  • Ship debris could use a little detail like flames / venting atmosphere etc.
  • Skins are a bit shiny and seem a little too smooth.
  • Military research is very convoluted.
  • Pirates spawned in a magnetic cloud so I assume they are unintentionally spawning in specials.
  • When jumping between systems units sometimes make a 2nd jump in that system to move to the edge of the system. (ie: They fan out to the sides of the direction the fleet arrived in)
  • Pheonix's skin is too bright.
  • "Basic PSIDIR" icon has no coloured version.
  • MAC's seem more like shooting stars (Thier too large / bright and could use some detail).
  • Slipspace exit portal should open before the ships enter the system's gravity well.
  • "Shiva Nuclear Missile" could use a unique explosion and model (It looks like a resized missile).
  • Many ships seem redundant and ununique.
  • Icons on uninhabited worlds (Why?).
  • Research should be tailored to the Mod not just having all the original ones ported over.
GJ keep up the hard work.

Its beta staged, I do agree with the both of the Shiva points.
I wonder if it is possible if the ships could fly into the slip space portal instead of light speeding through it like in halo 4 and ODST

Some points you're right on.
Some stuff is impossible.
Some stuff is supposed to be like that i.e. weapon damage.

Also, no Moo Cow that's not going to work.

Half the stuff you mentioned is being taken care of. It is a beta release. Not even an official release. But check back in when the patches start arriving and some off the stuff mentioned will be fixed/bettered.

  • Flood award too much exp.
Fixed
  • Weapons are too strong (Flood even more so when they have around 200 ships in thier fleet).-
Not totally sure what you mean by that - flood ships are unarmed...
  • Some descriptions like the "Shiva Nuclear Missile" are too vague and hard to read and understand thier in game mechanics.
Do you mean the tactical description? Like damage output and stuff? That's not editable by us - the game assigns that when it makes the ability. We may want to improve the description tho...
  • The "Valiant" voice acting is incredibly annoying.
Meh, to each his own. Probably not gonna change tho
  • Ship debris could use a little detail like flames / venting atmosphere etc.
This is planned...
  • Skins are a bit shiny and seem a little too smooth.
We found a couple problems with lighting and stuff... we're gonna fix that for the next release. Check back then!
  • Military research is very convoluted.
That's kinda intentional, but research IS a WIP, so don't expect it to be final
  • Pirates spawned in a magnetic cloud so I assume they are unintentionally spawning in specials.
Crap. That's a new one for the bug tracker...
  • When jumping between systems units sometimes make a 2nd jump in that system to move to the edge of the system. (ie: They fan out to the sides of the direction the fleet arrived in)
Please extrapolate...
  • Pheonix's skin is too bright.
WIP. We're gonna have a new texture shortly
  • "Basic PSIDIR" icon has no coloured version.
Tell stardock... That's an icon from vanilla ;)
  • MAC's seem more like shooting stars (Thier too large / bright and could use some detail).
maybe, I don't know the opinions of people on it... better than it was tho
  • Slipspace exit portal should open before the ships enter the system's gravity well.
It should, but that's impossible... we love hardcoding
  • "Shiva Nuclear Missile" could use a unique explosion and model (It looks like a resized missile).
Explosion is unique... Just has so many particles it usually doesn't show up
  • Many ships seem redundant and ununique.
We're working on that
  • Icons on uninhabited worlds (Why?)
Explain?
  • Research should be tailored to the Mod not just having all the original ones ported over.
It's a WIP, but it's not just vanilla ported...

GJ keep up the hard work.

Thanks. Great job on the bug report. Stay tuned for the patch as it fixes a lot of your issues

When jumping between systems units sometimes make a 2nd jump in that system to move to the edge of the system. (ie: They fan out to the sides of the direction the fleet arrived in)

I have noticed this in vanilla sins as well, It usually happens when an very large fleet (50-100 ships) jump into a system, occasionally a few ships would phase jump within the gravity well to another edge of the gravity well (usually pretty close by its original spot).

It's very weird but I have seen this happen in vanilla sins. I've not seen it happen in Rebellion though, maybe they (stardock) fixed it or i never played it that much.

While I've not seen it happen in this mod (yet) its definitely a bug carried over from the base game, I'm not even sure how easy it would be to reproduce.

Help me Sergeant I'm lost in Kurfluffle land!
