Update Part 1
Took a few pictures for fun, showing some of the process behind the flood sounds that will show up in game. I guess I'm also confessing my nerdy love for Foley.
Used some wet spaghetti, mashed potatoes, celery, and a bit of ground beef.
Spaghetti and ground beef making nice slime noises whilst celery makes a lovely crunch that sounds like breaking bones.
Then potatoes add lovely slurping noises that can make your stomach churn.
Keep posted for the finished product!

It seems like when someone creates a new fool-proof solution, someone gives birth to a better fool.

The fleshy sound is perfect! The only bad thing about it is that the voice sounds too human. It needs a little bit of editing to make it sound deeper and more like the Gravemind.
Gravemind is next for flood events, this is the audio set for light frigate and siege flood controlled ships.

Naw, just a flood infested world. Remember, it is possible to capture the pirate base... capturing a gravemind is... well... odd... to say the leastIs the gravemind going to be the floods pirate base? That'd be awesome.
As Golly would say:
It breaks the immersion

So you could make the model the gravemind on like a space station or something and when you depleted it's health and invade it it switches model.
lets hope it NEVER INVADES!!!

There's only one wonky way to change planet meshes while the game is running, and people have already suggested we use it to change the mesh so that planets have a different texture after being glassed. We've decided not to use it for that, so I'd say we're not going to use it for this either.
