I got into SoaSE a good while ago, almost four years. After a few enjoyable months of playthroughs, I wanted more, and delved into the modding community. Back then, SotP had only one model, and only hopes and dreams of the future.
I had fallen in and out of Sins since then. I sometimes worked on modding myself, though I lacked any and all direction, and always watched SotP to see where it might go.

Then, I fell out for a long time.

Reading sci-fi had emblazoned a need to play again, and turning a hopeful eye back to ModDB, I was shocked to see a Beta release!

I want to help. In any way I can. Even if it means I have to sit in front of the computer for hours on end as I labor against the Flood, I'll do my part.

No, not really... I only got into modifying the files already in the game, and even that was a while ago. Everything I did was technical, the easy stuff. Couldn't get into the graphical element.

Your story sounded very similar to how a lot of us started. If you want to take it to the next level just toy with things here and there, see what does what, what causes crashes, etc.

Yeah, all you do is just mess with stuff and it comes to you. thats how i started, I remember the first thing i modified was making nukes twice the range and did 2x the damage, taht was fun to see. that was when i coded for fun, now i code so unikraken doesnt eat my soul.

Don't worry people, I'm sure Unikraken is investing your souls in some good soul stock. If you're lucky you might gain interest on your soul over time and end up having 2 souls in the soul bank instead of one.

So...if you'd like to contribute and you don't have any artistic or technical skills the best thing you can do for us is test the mod and report back with bugs/errors and imbalances. We have a section called "Suggestions and Feedback" and we'd love your input there.
