After switching over to try out a few other Sins mods, I suddenly remembered how mods tend to be unstable. I remember many mods in many other games I've played (anything bethesda, [but it doesn't take mods to destabilize those] the Dawn of War series, the Total War series) being minefields of bugs, and I wanted to congratulate you guys on making the most stable mod I've ever played. This has literally never crashed on me. As eager as I am to see everything else you churn out, like the Covenant and Forerunner factions, the immense detail and quality of this mod, along with its stability that essentially matches the vanilla version, is enough to make me wait patiently. But still eagerly.

Thats because whenever there is a minidump issue in the private version, we get our coders on it immediately to find the exact source of the problem and fix it, so that you will never even see what caused the error. That being said, i havent minidumped due to stability issues for a while, i usually only minidump from a bad alt-tab. Just goes to show how stable the mod is.

Thanks the appreciation, mhdalyn. Stability was always something that irked me with mods for SoaSE and in general. Glad to see the commitment to it was echoed in the rest of the team.
The long development time has done wonders for us in that regard, though.

I have to agree with this post, has to be one of the best put together mods I have seen in a very long time, never crashes or gives any grief at all. Keep up the fantastic work guys.

This.
Instability is a PITA in mods... as Golly would say, it really breaks the immersion when you get a minidump midway through the game... Honestly the biggest bugs we have now are unclean mesh errors...

We had huge minidump errors anytime you tabbed out of the game a while back. We had to recruit Zombiesru5 to pretty much repackage the whole mod in order to fix it. But yes, very happy about the stability now. :)

Yup. They were the whole reason why I hadn't released a beta/demo of the mod. He said it was due to the habit of "building a new city on top of the ruins of the old one" hah

Mine still mini-dumps when I alt-tab out of the private beta, not the public release though. But anyway,

No stability issues, eh? It must be because the playtesters are awesome.

Mine doesn't.

You're from Australia though, I assume you're running it on little more than a toaster.
