This ability has been capable since vanilla soase, as far as I can tell. We're not borrowing abilities from any particular thing, for most of what we do. We look at the constraints available and use that information to try to code what we want. Please stop trying to guess where we're borrowing shit from, because we're not.

Ok, i was hoping it would NOT be the Maelstrom hord frigate idea. This idea that you are stating is way better.

Maybe the new charon's fleet buff could be to add shield mitigation to the fleet, which would encourage keeping them together with the infinity, since none of the rest of the UNSC would benefit from that.

I would like to point out that there is no real reason that the Charon Class Light Frigate V2 should even be associated with the Forward Unto Dawn, there is no way for Chief to have gotten on board one... and it makes no sense to add it in... if anything thats just a Strident Class Frigate which would take the place of a late game mass support vessel... much like the thanatos is right now...
sorry, whenever i see this ship get associated with the dawn it kinda irks me... Microsoft really screwed up on that account...
