Not so much a bug report but more feedback on alterations and experience.

Overall, positive, the alterations to research have proven to be interesting, in a very good way. The stacking of upgrades into one singular research piece works very well and proves mostly balanced with no real qualms. However a couple of suggestions at this time would be as follows;

Planetary shield generation; no doubt some will argue for it, but overall, it doesn't really fit with UNSC technology and overall, could be changed to something else. What that something else is is an entirely different issue. Gut reaction, some kind of overly expensive mini star base perhaps, a kind of all in one deal. A jack of all trades master of none, slower RoF MAC, 1 flight of fighters and some kind of command interface perhaps for target marking or some such at a price of 5 slots or some such, something prohibitive to construct but useful in some cases. Might fit, again, spitballing here. Or hell, just make it a beacon and use it like Vasari jump gates.

Final teir defense research; empty but i'm hazarding a guess you have something in mind so gloss over that.

Safety Override Protocol; partially fits UNSC style but doesn't feel quite right. Suggested replacement? Enforced Cole protocol. Hear me out, could spice things up a bit. Use the sacrifice frigate ability present in one of the Advent capital ship abilities, to sacrifice a frigate by making it's reactor go critical. Result, AoE explosion. Handy for defenders and makes more sense than blowing up your own Starbase. Still not perfect, but y'now.

Will do more indepth look later, it's 6 in morning and I ran out of coffee three hours ago. Excuse spelling mistakes etc. I did have some other suggestions involving the Refit section of military upgrades and how to fill the last teir but I need to mull over the suggestion more as fuck logic.

I believe it has been said before that ships will not be suicidal or have AoE damage.

Bornsteller is so good of a modeler that he should be on the cover of Victoria Secret.™

I was thinking more like ground based Anti-aircraft batteries, since the bombing particles are being switched to pelican/landing craft ones.

Also maybe glassing/nuking/bombing resistant fortresses/ shelters to compensate for the Covenant bombing/glassing. Are the Covenant also getting mostly landing craft with a few ships able to 'glass' similar to the UNSC and the Berlin, since that seems to be the case in the later books, Covenant landing on most planets before glassing.

Ahhhh Kheva is a smart cookie.

Answer: Yes. for AI reasons, any ship that can "invade" has bombing damage, but ive turned it down to simulate more support fire rather than nuking them to oblivion. So except for the Berlin, any ship that can invade im pretty sure can bomb, just with low damage. The berlin does high damage bombardment. The Covenant have the same system only more ships are able to glass and their glassing does more damage. (i believe the CCS, CRS, and RPV can glass).
