Does he understand what nested folders mean? It's an uncommon word for normal humans. The folder that you place into the mod folder should have a series of folders inside of it, if it has another sotp folder, you need to pull that folder out and put it in the mod folder.

Ok, i have put the mod in the  Rebellion Mods v.1.80 folder, took it out of the "double embedded" folder type, extracted it, then went into the game. When i go to the mods, i click enable, then apply, it restarts rebellion, then minidumps. Im not sure what to do here.

Should i try loading each file individually? meaning i copy all of them out and apply them outside the SotP folder.

Never mind, I think i might have figured out what i did, i will give it a shot and if that does not work i will post back here. again.....

Okay it is very possible i am a idiot and his is all my own doing, but here it goes. Over the last night i have been wrestling the installation going back and forth between soase, and the mod folder. After a lot of trouble, i came on here last night and explained my situation, to no avail. After a self realization, i tried 7 zip realizing i never unzipped it. After trying this, to no success, i tried winRAR, that failed to. So after that i gave  up last night only to try again this morning to come close to success following me merging some of he game info files (bad idea i know). I got the SotP main menu, but it was off, the vanilla music was playing and then when i went into a game, it was all vanilla ships and "strings not found". So i tried the internet, nothing, so i am stuck.

I have the same problem of the main screen and loading screens switching to the mod but the game itself is still vanilla. How did you fix it.

Redownload, may have corrupted file. Check the md5 sum.

Yep redownloading fixed it probably should have tried that earlier thanks

When I try to enable the mod it crashes and does the error/ minidump routine.  I have the latest version and I have tried redownloading twice.  I had the same issue with SoGE when I first got it but they have a different method of installation.

Do you have Rebellion 1.80?

I have it. It gets up to the loading screen but crashes before it even shows the menu.

I reinstalled twice and then it started working.  Ain't technology great.

Our biggest issue with troubleshooting is ModDB's abysmal servers. The length of time they take to dish out larger files ensure copies get corrupt pretty often.

Hi I just downloaded the rebellion version of sins of the prophets and when i try and load a game, on any map, it does a minidump and crashes. 

 

This does not happen with any other mods or with the vanilla game.

 

Please help.
