Well since I was so out of the ball park with my thought's of the Halo 4 story (thought Spirit of Fire would already be in Requiem. Would be able to supply all the weapons, vehicles and marines Chief could need to leave blowing in the wind.) I thought I would reach out to all the wonderful experts working on and following this mod to help me out with a hypothesis for Halo 5. 343 has stated (possible rumor I forget, just add it to idea's) that Chief's former Spartan 2 team/comrades (specifically Fred, Linda, Kelly, probably any other Spartan they find hiding around the place in plot holes) would play a part or at least be mentioned in the next game. And what would be the next games enemies? Just bring back those 'rascally' covies and forerunners? (Ain't broke don't fix it, like Halo 4 perhaps.)

Didact isn't dead. Chief is still mourning Cortana's death, becoming a little unhinged. Sangheili civil war still going on. Since the Chief isn't on Requiem currently, he's probably helping Arby with that. He'll come across information that suggests Cortana isn't dead and can be retrieved from the Composer. Didact has brought back real Forerunners and warships. Chief will have to locate the OTHER Didact or some other nefarious Forerunner. Big war with lots of nifty looking spaceships. Boarding action. Stuff like that.

The flood won't return because yes, we are done with them. We killed the last gravemind by firing the Halo ring at the Ark, effectively killing off the flood. Now, if they were reactivated in a stasis holding facility like on another Halo ring, that's different. But, I doubt that will happen any time soon since the UNSC and ONI specifically are pretty smart when it comes to that type of stuff (unlike their Covenant counterparts).

When I finished Halo 4 I imagined Chief coming across some forerunner tech that reverses the Composer (brings beings out of the Domain) and it manifests Cortana as an actual living Human (all in one piece, not a hideous mess like Librarian said happened in the past). Thus we have our happy ending (insert better love story than Twilight joke).

I think if Cortana becomes flesh and bone it would ruin the game. It would be like an fps version of ICO, as you run around trying to protect Cortana. Lame.

This is more a hope, but I wish that the UNSC went on the offensive against something. They spend all Kilo-Five and Halo 4 working up how awesome our technology is but when it comes down to it the Infinity only shoots it's guns like once in the entire game. The rest of the time the ship sucks (Del Rio (transmission): "Infinity's shields are still down. Open the lane for us to move up and provide air support.") and the Spartan IV are also not very awesome in game. It'd be cool to have like a Normandy landing but from space and in pelican with chief and a spartan team.
