Hi all,

Today we have completed Phase I which includes all major bug fixes from the Entrenchment to Rebellion port, All older placeholder models have been tweaked and the Covenant faction now has different ships in all slots including a new ship role, major research and abilities from rebellion have been added. With this conclusion we now go to Phase II which is the last major balance test of the UNSC-Covenant. This will add to our generic combat data from Entrenchment while testing the new technology, abilities, and ships added.

Special thanks out to Dhoul for stepping in to fix our Covenant fleet issues. This will free up Zero to upgrade rather than move parallel.

Like 5 with the 5th being that final testing stage of the Forerunners.

Phase 2 is UNSC and Covenant testing and balancing for the last and final run until the titans come into play for phase 3.

yeah but those titans might be shuffled depending on how fast testing and design moves in relation to art dept. Maps is the same way. Low priority to my design. Would you rather have two factions done in terms of gameplay? or more maps?

I'd prefer properly done factions over a ton of maps myself, but you do have to realize that without a decent variety in maps the game kinda lacks replayability. Anyways, having a variety of maps should not be a problem as soon as someone fixes the current issues.

I agree. Maps are nice, but not my dept. Ive already asked too much of too many people just to get here and to get where we need going.

It's unclear if we'll ever be able to port the Entrenchment maps to Rebellion, so do you mind remaking Epsilon Eridani for Rebellion, Normon? I'll probably request at least a few other popular maps as time goes on.

There's a post on the Rebellion website that has a map converting program.

I'm all for remaking the map, what with dwarf planets I can simulate moons in a way. Though I do suggest you go ahead and replace the old galaxyscenariodef file with the Rebellion version and just put the Rebellion maps in there. I'll then add the SotP touch to the reg maps and remake some of the old ones and make some new ones. If one of the other devs wants to toy with that program they can be my guest, but personally I enjoy the satisfaction of making/modifying the map by hand.

What' the issue with just putting in standard issue rebellion maps back in again? I presume something to do with wormhole guardians, asteroid pirates etc. that wouldn't just 'adapt'?

Hm, if you got a galaxy forge available I don't mind giving maps a go. Did a few for X4 mod as well as some for my own personal enjoyment.

Or if you prefer, I can provide some proof of ability by making you a custom Rebellion map later, should be mod compatible I imagine (excluding DLC additions of course). Would this be of interest to you?

What phase will it be before attention is turned to the forerunners and their amazingly cool to model geometry?

phase II is UNSC-Cov balancing mainly. Phase III, which i already ahve talked to defender about, is the design state for the forerunners. Thats when theyll go through their major tech tree revision and everything to pull them into a Beta of sorts. Then phase IV is their testing. Phase V is the end of my design with that phase being sound, art, ect ect and release.

Hello i just wanted to ask a quick question here. I was hoping to to know if you guys had thought or are thinking about adding the United Rebel Front/Covenant Separatists/Promethean splinter group as playable factions after you guys finish everything else? I understand how much time and effort a mod this good looking makes, but i thought it couldn't hurt to ask. :P

Great Job! Keep it going

It takes a dwarf to use magma for snow shoveling

Only in Dwarf Fortress would you try to catch a mermaid to butcher her and make trophies out of her bones

So do you guys plan on releasing the mod publicly  for Rebellion after the phase 2 re-balancing, after titans are complete in phase 3 or the end phase 5?

Cause I would very much like to see all the hard work you guys put into this mod. Seeing 2 maxed Humans fleets wipe each other out was really cool (despite the tremendous amounts of lag) now I want to see what a human fleet and a covie fleet do to each other.  :)
