Using a whole bunch of Valiant cap ships with a lot of Shiva firepower, I managed to kill all the flood at a homeworld (there was a nice flock of my captured prowlers for me to kill). I saved before sending a colony ship, which arrived and used the colonizing ability. Then the game crashed. I restarted the game, tried again, and it crashed. Flood homeworlds are uncolonizable!

Well hold on is the Flood world really colonizable though? Would settlers honestly set foot on the Flood homeworld?

I think they'd just blow it up, Because they shouldn't really be able to be colonized

There should be specilized research to colonize a flood homeworld when you guys include the DLC , if you do.

ive suggested turning the flood world into a shield world similar to shield world 0459 (shield world in halo wars) a few times already

Maybe that could be a version of a sun? or maybe that could be Requiem and the sort

It will happen when we have a good texture for that kind of thing. Don't fret.

Maybe you should keep the flood world and add shield worlds, it stands to reason that the flood isn't just on Forerunner installations.

I agree with making a flood world colonization being a research. Except not a civilian research. Instead turn it into a scorched earth research that wipes all biological matter from the planet turning it into an asteroid. Similar to the Vasari's Loyalist titan's ability to consume worlds leaving them nothing more but floating asteroids.

Can't. Hardcoded, on many levels...I agree with making a flood world colonization being a research. Except not a civilian research. Can't unlock planets with research aside from the ones in vanilla...
Stripped to the core is cool but practically useless when it comes to modding
