What is the difference between bombardment and invasion? Does bombardment destroy infrastructure? Does invasion not do that and doesn't kill the entire population?

If by invasion you mean colonization, you cannot normally colonize an enemy planet before bombarding.
If you mean invasion as in the SotP pelican "bombardment", the only difference between this and vanilla sins is JUST the particles involved.
