Also In the way of Orbitals, having looked back at the covvie Superdestroyer/battleship whatever you want to call it, may not be a ship, but a mobile gunnery platform, Kinda like an orbital starbase or something.

No repulsor engines that i can see, bit wide ect.

If the covenant are going to have some form of station or at least a logistical staging post perhaps a rework of this would do.

That is a ship not a star base or orbital platform. If a species rebels within the covenant and the covenant military cannot tame in on the ground the covenant fleet just threatens to glass the planet. If threatening doesn't work then they would probably just glass the planet and move on. Look as the grunt rebellion for example. The Elites couldn't win the fight on the ground so the retreated to their ships in orbit an threatened to glass the grunt homeworld. It out down the rebellion and then the Elites proceeded to allow the grunts to carry weapons in combat out of respect for the grunts being able t defeat them on the ground at their homeworld.

According to the wikis there is a contradiction, All i'm saying is that it

  1. Has no visible repulsor engines.
  2. Is not as streamlined as other vessels within the covenant.
  3. Does not move from orbit.
  4. Has more weapons/Shielding than other covenant vessels.
  5. What is up with them markings?

And that obviously they must have some form of orbital planetary occupation, other than ground side.

are you familiar with the battle involving that ship? it was more or less in "deep" space, so the notion that you think thats an orbital platform is kind of amuzing

It is a ship and that is what it is called in the battle by Admiral Cole and that is how it is described on the wikis. It is a ship that is how it will be in the mod. Maybe you should look around in previous threads for information regarding the covenant star base. We do not plan on making it a defensive station at all.

GEEZ read the original comment, all i'm saying is that it may not be.

knowing how little intel ONI had on the covenant in 2526, they may have got it wrong.

And both the wikis suck, they both contradict.
