So, anyone looking to post bugs in the next week or so should take part in the community trial of the bitbucket issue reporting. Same principles apply but you have to adhere to a rather strict format. The page can be found here. Try to avoid repeats but don't worry about saying 'sorry if this has been found in the playtester version' etc; if it's not on the list, assume that is hasn't been found and report so we can squash that bug.

Damn good game guys, except when I go to play Medium Random (Multi) online it puts two stars together and my planet inside the stars with nothing else in the game. I was like "what sorcery is this!" lol. Damn good game though. I would like the pickets purple lasers to be more vibrant or bright. Anyways i'm heading back to play more and maybe find some more bugs for you guys. Peace!

This has been checked and fixed.

Loving the new update, but I've encountered a problem:

I was playing the super big map(the one from Urs to Sol, I can't recall the name atm) as the Covenant and everything was going wonderfully. After a while(43 minutes into the game to be precise) the game started freezing for a moment every 2/3 seconds...I thought it would eventually stop but it did not, at first it was ignorable but it kinda grinds on you the longer you play. I restarted the game(even my PC) and neither helped. Would LAA fix this problem? I've heard it could help out with mods but I've also heard lots of bad things about it.

Sorry if this was already asked...I'm super new.

I should mention that I do not have this problem in normal Sins or any other mod.

LAA would definitely help you in this situation. Also this is the wrong thread, not to be a jerk but we tend to like to keep things tidy.

Furthermore, when the mod starts getting into the late game, the sheer amount of activity and ships will decrease performance. Its just a Sins engine issue. But installing LAA would help out a bit

Did you download the mod from ModDB with an account, or did you get forwarded over to FileFront? Alternatively there is a NexusMods link: http://www.nexusmods...rempire/mods/13

First time playing UNSC in a long time, and for the first time ever I got a really big fleet. I noticed, however, the particle effects (pelicans landing during invasion, missles, etc) don't show up. I hear the sounds, I just can't see the results from weapons, or see the projectiles themselves. I also can't see the pelicans during invasions, but I do see the pretty lights. First bug I have really noticed so far.

CLOSED_NOTABUG

This is a "bug" with Sins itself - it's actually by design - there's a limit on how many particles can show up game-wide, and you've hit it. The best you can do is increase the particle limit...

....which you can do if you go to your user.setting folder for Sins and raise the 'MaxParticleCount'. Do note however, that this could result in a minidump if your game gets too big and you hit the 2gb memory limit (that is higher if you enable LAA, though not sure just how much memory the game will use when it's enabled). The limit is there for a reason, so tread lightly

Where would one place this issue?

I only ask because I am also having a nearly gamebreaking experience that matches these exact details ONLY I have also installed/enabled LAA several times (to be sure it is working) I believe I have a fairly high-end model PC so I'm skeptical if that is the issue. But long story short where can I place this belligerence so I can have some help in getting it resolved?

Specs are as follows if anyone can help but has need of them:

Processor: Intel Core i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.20GHz

RAM: 8.00 GB

OS: 64-bit, 64x-based Processor

With all that said I hope this isn't too annoying as I'd hate to waste someones time this way but I truly need some help.

It is a Sins issue. The game is 7 years old, just with a slightly updated engine and pretty graphics. It runs on only a single core and cannot use more. The RAM increase only mitigates the issue. There is no real fix unless you rebuild the game from the ground up.

How can you enable it several times? You'd have to disable it first :)

If LAA is actually on, you may actually be hitting your system RAM limit. Even if you aren't, if you're playing a large map, you'll be pushing the limit of that poor little i5 you're on ;)
For what it's worth, my i7 struggles on large maps.

Your graphics card may be another issue - if you're using the onboard Intel HD graphics they probably can't handle the game either

Something small with the UI, Green is not a selectable colour option. You can select Lima, just not green.

Hello, I am new to these forums, but I've been playing SOTP for quite some time, and I am really loving it. It can add quite a challange to the game when the entire fleets can go BOOM within seconds, not tens minutes like in vanilla game. So I've been playing the latest version and I noticed two odd things:

First is that if you are paused or you are currently researching any Fleet Supply Upgrade and you queue to construct ships that require e.g. 50 Fleet supply in total at let's say you have 20 currently Available Fleet supply, the Available Fleet Supply goes below 30, But the ship factories won't build the first queued ships, instead the production freezes for every ship factory you have, even though you've already been producing ships which were in queue before elsewhere. Not sure if this is meant to be, or if it's a bug.

As the second thing. I've played 4 games on this latest version so far, a 1v1 Small map, legendary AI; a 2v2 Medium, Vicious AI; 3v3 medium large, Heroic AI and 8p FFA large random map, Legendary AI, and after like an hour to the game I noticed that the AI doesn't build any more ships, once in an hour I saw a new capital ship, but that was it, they just build defences.

That'd be acceptable if they are had the defensive behaviour, but even though I set few AIs as "Aggressors" they were able to build only the "Exploration fleet" with which they were able to capture some neutral planets at the early game, but couldn't go further over the other AIs' defensives, because they simply didn't make any more ships.

Hope it's just me that has these issues. I'd like some challange from the AI, I allways love the sight of me getting shrekt apart by a vicious covenant, trying to prepare from the start, knowing that I have no chance against that.

Edit: So, did anyone else notice that, or am I the only one?

So i got my issue fixed and had one last question. How does the covenant AI act on normal level? I put it there for a test game and it built like 6 ships and then stopped. It had infrastrucutre up around its planets, but aside from scouting runs and a very breif skirmish it never did anything offensive. Still download/version compatibility issues? or should i just turn it to heroic lol

This should be a priority, many are experiencing this issue.

A friend and I just installed the newest update and are loving the game so far, unfortunately we have a weird issue with loading saves but I'm not sure it's related exclusively to the mod or if its our installations. Once we save and exit the game we can't use the old saves to play it gives us an error titled "Galaxy Scenario Differs". This happens no matter what person hosts the save or if we use auto saves so I'm honestly not sure what the issue causing it is.
