whenever i build a map with reach, or reach glassed, it breaks the game and crashes. others have/had these problems with reach

Hmm. Interesting. That might be a bug I haven't seen yet...

Hmm. Interesting. That might be a bug I haven't seen yet...

I reported it some time ago, along with other galaxy forge bugs.

 

So the only Bonus at this current point is crystal miners (which isn't even lore friendly.)

We have Onyx, Reachglassed and Reach (reach still breaks the map upon loading)

This is where I plan to post all the maps that are being made by yours truly. However if other members of the community wish to post their maps too, place them on google drive and send me the link along with a description of the map so I can place it on the opening thread. That way people won't have to sift through the thread to find different maps. Have fun with them!

^This is a two player Flood Hunt map people have been asking for. Two players work to kill the flood. Player 3 must be an A.I

^*PLAY THIS WITH FLOOD RAIDS TURNED ON AND SET A.I TO UNFAIR DIFFICULTY!* This is a sort of King of the Hill/Race map where two teams of 3 Race to the star. However, they must fight through 2 of a possible 4 flood worlds. You can send flood to the opposing team to slow them down or kill them outright!

^ Have you ever wanted to feel like a God in Sins of the Prophets? Watching as others fight for control and attempt to appease you? Well in this map you can! Player 1 gets to use their vast wealth to influence a battle raging in a neighbouring star system. Go power crazy boys and girls!

 

More to come as I finish working on them and receive them!

I'm a new user but I've been working on a map the size of the entire Milky Way Galaxy in the Halo universe. If you're interested, I can try to send you the galaxy file after I'm done

Nevermind, apparently the map didn't work out well

If by didnt work out to well you mean the map department did not like it, thats a shame, but if you were unhappy with it, Im sure the map people would still like to see it. So much as a phaselane reworking could make it perfect.  ;)

I really liked it a lot. I spent a good 4 days researching planets and star systems and roughly finding out the distances but, apparently, the map didn't work with the game. It kept crashing it when I loaded it. Maybe putting 14 stars in one map isn't quite a good idea

I really liked it a lot. I spent a good 4 days researching planets and star systems and roughly finding out the distances but, apparently, the map didn't work with the game. It kept crashing it when I loaded it. Maybe putting 14 stars in one map isn't quite a good idea

That should not be a problem, where you saved it might have something to do with it, i have made maps with 100s of stars (for lulz, of course) and they work fine. so perhaps try a different save loaction.

 Directly into the galaxy forge folder, located under my documents, ironclad games, soase:R galaxy forge and so on and so forth, I have not seen anywhere else to save it, but I have heard there are other places and that has often been the issue with the file when saving.

I went and saved it in the ironclad folder and what not. I think it might be the fact I have very long phaselanes stretching almost across the galaxy in some places. Or planets grouped to closely together. I'll probably work more on it tonight and see if I can get it working

i could see the phase lane thing only if you have the worst, and i mean the worst  (witch i doubt is the case) computer in existance, perhaps the map department can help you more, im sure they will see this in the A.M. but for now, wait a second, are you sure your not using the trinity GF?

I bought Rebellion on Steam about a couple of weeks ago and I've never owned Trinity.

well then, there goes my idea.....

 

try to post a picture of it here if you can, im not sure how much that would help, but its something, as i can take a look at it and see if theres any "lol, nope"s in the map.

No problem man, glad to help, Xtremeroflcopter, and maybe Norman will be able to help more, as they are kinda our cartographers, but from what i saw it looked interesting, hoping i can test it out at some point.

If you want - upload it. Someone can try launching it with debug errors on and see if the validator spits out any errors...
For that matter, I could probably error-check it with eclipse...
