Hi,

As soon as I activate SotP, the mod either gets stuck or crashes. When I press the Windows button and then go back to the game, this box appears with text and says the following: failed to convert " to an enum value

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Thanks

You have to open your "Enabled Mods" .txt file (you will find it inside the Mods-Rebellion folder) and change "enabled mod name count" from 0 to 1. Then restart the game.

Have you already enabled SotP, or does that happen when you enable it already in game?

When I'm not playing, it's at 0. When I enable the mod, it's still at 0. When I apply the mod it is still at 0. When I closed the game suing the task manager, enabled Mod Name Count is at 1, below that it says: enabled Mod Name "SotP Alpha v.0.81.2".

Update: I have also downloaded Sins of a Galatic Empire (Star Wars mod), and the same thing happens.

enabledModNameCount has to permanently be at 1. You have to change it manually in the .txt file, before starting the game.

Changed the enabledModNameCount to 1 and saved it. Started the game and a Window appeard on the top left of my screen with the this on it:

Text FileArchive missing Label.

File: C:\Users\Matteo\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Mods-Rebellion v1.85\EnabledMods.txt
Label: enabledModName
Line Number:3
Line Contents:enabledModNameCount 1

I click on Break and it takes me to the game (not the mod). I then go on options and activate the mod and then apply. The same failed to convert " to an enum value appears on a Window on the top left corner.

You're playing with the Dev exe and/or errors enabled. Go to your ...\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\ folder, delete the "Settings" folder and start Sins via Steam. You will have to redo all of your settings after, but it will fix your issue.

Lavo has managed to fix this problem.

Thanks to all.

EDIT: Do I really have to redo the Settings folder? Is it important?

EDIT 2: NVM the settings folder is already done automatically.
