silentium says otherwise and the wikia's are always late to the stuff
(vs debators always look to the books first and the wikia's second (always))

Download them bitches. If you're looking to be a golden boy, you're replicating information, not depriving someone of property. Buy it later.

price is not a concern, its finding the time to read the books. College/studying > EVERYTHING

You can save your money/time. Except Cryptum, where you can find something, the others provide nothing for design purpose. I mean, you have to be creative for the description of their ships is really vague.

Is it? I thought

Honestly, ill probably like cryptum enough while reading it to get the others. Also, getting creative with their ships shouldnt be too hard, since vague descriptions means I can be flexible with ship design.

Spoiler
I'm too lazy to flip through all the books at the moment but it is mentioned by the primordial that some precursor went into hibernation and some precursors chose to transform into a powder for later reassembly. Over time the powder became corrupted and eventually turned into the flood which however turned out to be a useful tool for the primordial.

Good then, but be aware of Primordium: the first half of the book is boring as hell.

One mans trash is another mans treasure...he may find it not so boring. Though I highly doubt it as the people here are generally of a like mind as far as boring and not boring goes.

If you're the guy that loves getting into the very details within the Lore. LoTR has that in spades with all the exposition that's in it.
Though I havn't read Primordium. Is the book boring due to the huge about of exposition or is just boring in general?

hey i read it (a very long time ago) three times (all of them including the hobbit)

Im a pretty avid reader, I found the details throughout LotR fascinating where a normal person would put the book down.
I love you so much.

In my opinion it is boring due to the missing action. It's just a non-stop description of improbable landscapes (speaking of LotR, I love when Tolkien describes them, but I think Bear is more cut out for sci-fi technology description) and complicated technological devices and structures, which are original but far too complicated. I'm vague because I don't wanna spoil you anything. But hey, it's a good book, it's somehow fundamental if you wanna understand Forerunners' history.

When you say "all of them" you mean The Silmarillion, The Children of Hurin, The Adventures of Tom Bombadil, The Book of Lost Tales and Unfinished Tales?

again i was twelve and it was a really long time ago and i plan to reread them soon...
however those last lot i am embarrassed to say i rented out of the library so i no longer have them.
that said when i have time i will reread all of them again.
i think it started with my older sister reading the main trilogy (technically one book and she had the massive one book) and afterwards left the book on the dining table which i read the first 3 chapters and asked dad if he could get me the first one of the lot and from then on i read them all.
by the last few however i was in the library with mother when i found them and when mother asked if there were any books i wanted to rent for the time period when she saw the books the look on her face must have been hilarious (Mother remembers but i don't (the shock that is (of finding out i was reading Tolkien's books)))
