Do you think my Xbox One would blow up or otherwise if I used a AC power cable that had one more socket than needed? https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTw9sayNqiYTGPBW8aTMp6PRlppnrDvML-y1nk6izXMu-L2T0-9 That is the one I would use and as you can see, it has 3 sockets whereas I only need 2 so I'm just making sure that if I use this, it won't die.

you should do it and tell us if somehting blowed up. No but seriously dont do it. the 3 pins and 2 pins are pretty different in how they work hence how grounding works and stuff.

So I checked with my family resident electrician and he said that you should not mess with anything electrical if you don't know what you are doing. He took a look at my xbox and concluded that the chance of something going wrong is minor but that if it did go wrong you would frack the xbox at very least and prolly start a fire
