I wonder if 343 has given fleet lofistics any thought? Post-war UNSC navy must have some serious problems rearming without colonial infrastructure

    The Covies bypassed a couple dozen Inner Colonies when they hit Reach, and the Battle of Earth was less than two months later. Though the Inner Colonies were fairly reliant on the outer for materials and resources, we can safely assume they themselves were capable of producing some (e.g. Reach's titanium mines) and that they could contribute to reestablishing the fleet and infrastructure.

    We need to also factor in that the Inner colonies were slowly adapting to sustaining themselves with such a lack of resources as the war dragged on.
