Hello! I'm Scorch219, and I'm new to this site as well as mod downloading, so I would really appreciate some help.

 

I downloaded and extracted the Open Beta Download, and the mod Checksum shows up, but when I hit apply, there is a "mini dump" and Sins closes. Any ideas?

As for you problem, there is a thread here on the forums that might hold the answers you need. Beware though the omnipotent Unikraken sometimes prowl those waters for fresh virgin souls.

On a serious note I would suggest you check that you have the appropriate version of sinsENTRENCHMENT as the starting point for your troubbleshooting.

We're gonna need a bit more info if we're gonna be of any help

First, what version of Entrenchment are you running?

Also it might help to try redownloading the mod.
If all else fails try restarting your comp, can't tell you how many random problems I've solved just with a simple restart.

If the problem still persists then I'm outta ideas, and the higher powers will have to help you out

Sorry I wasn't clearer earlier. I'm running Trinity's Entrenchment v1.055, and i will check the moddb page. I also believe its because I used the standard Windos Extractor. Thanks guys for your help and support!

 

Oh and because i forgot to tell about myself, I've have been playing Halo since Combat Evolved. Great game series. I'm also interested in strategy games and sandbox games like Assasin's Creed and Prototype.

It's possible that your download was corrupted. If you have shitty internet it's possible that a few 1's and 0's get flopped while downloading large files over a long time. The best thing you can do is follow this link: http://www.sinsofthe...nstall-the-mod/

and follow the first post all the way through, completely reading everything and ensuring you're doing it right. The number of people who A: Skim through it and are then shown what they needed was right there and B: Follow it and have the mod running correctly is both astounding and frustrating.

Got it! apparently windows XP doesn't extract files well at all, so i used 7-zip. Thanks for all your guys' help!
