Would anyone help me learn this mod. I can't seem to figure it out. I have yet to win a single game on normal mod and I am NOT going down to easy. I put up a good fight, but I eventually lose. If anyone would like to help out contact me via Steam. My account name is mr_ripley9.

FINE....

Run him through planetary assaults, and defences. That should be enough to get him on his feet.

Well, I said contact me via Steam. I wasn't expecting y'all to actually comment. I did play a 2v2 match, beat both the covies and my teammate. I just spammed a lot of every kind of ship. I think I had 52 destroyers, 117 fighters(wow, that's cool :P), et cetera. For planet defense I just spammed mines, SMACs, and had a few Star bases.

Also, sorry for the uber late reply. I watch paranormal activity 2 and 3 from 10-3. Can I sleep? Nope, I will be reading a bit of scripture.

Major gameplay points

  • A powerful economy is critical. (trade ports, refineries, mineral extraction research).
  • Mine Fields and SMACs & hangars are a must. Especially on chokepoint planets.
  • Set your factories to rally newly built ships to your fleet.
  • build more mines.

Also if you find yourself up against a numerically superior force try to engage them at a heavily defended friendly planet. Between your ships and defenses you should be able to gut the opposing fleet. Then there will be a short grace period where you can jump your ships into their next planet while they recover from the ealier defeat.

Also, your just gonna lose sometimes. The covenant ships are really powerful and the UNSC defenses can be nearly impenatrable sometimes

Or overwhelm the enemy when he tries to build mines :P

Only in Dwarf Fortress would you try to catch a mermaid to butcher her and make trophies out of her bones

I did win a game the other day. In fact, I crushed the dude. We were at a stalemate for about 15 minutes, but it was with one of my weaker fleets. I knew my teammate was going to betray me when we finished off the covenant, so I decided I was going to send a fleet of about 30 ships over to his capital. Surprisingly enough, it wasn't very fortified, so the ships tore right through his defenses and destroyed his main planet. He sent in a few fleets every now and again. I did have to bring my main fleet, consisting of hundreds of ships. I think I had 57 destroyers at one point. It was a massive battle, but I beat him. I slowly progressed over to the worm hole, which you guys did an excellent job with ;), because he moved his capital past that point. Once I reached the wormhole and defeated his fleet that he had waiting there, I knew it was going to be easy picking.
