How much would i have to pay you for a 24inch model of the autumn?
24 inch is realy big for a consumer 3d printer, 125x 125 x 165 mm or 4.9x 4.9x 6.5 inch will be my max dimentions
this is smaller then some 3d printers but those are 5 times less precise then the one i will buy.
the material price is also double that of regular abs printers, but the standard color is grey, which is good for unsc ships i guess
any1 has information on how to rip 3d models?

how to do it: download iso (you can't copy your disk or you need to mod your reader), extract it with 360 iso cracker, open .map files in adjutant (found on halomaps.org)
in adjutant the models are located in the "render_models" folder. you can generate a script in adjutant to import the models to 3dsmax
pics as soon as i get my printer

Purge this thread. It has the thing that shalt not be named in it.

the models aren't actually as detailed as i thought they would be, i'd like to compare it with the models from this mod. can any1 tell me how i can contact TheDidact and ask for his permission? i can't email him on this forum under that name

I think they look less detailed as most of the detail is the texture and its shaders.

i could smooth it by subdividing all vertices but that wont actually add detail

Try asking the guy that made http://www.3dbuzz.co...mber-Clad/page2
Better than any models in games because games cannot handle that amount of polygons

Unless he had a godly 3D printer, I think there's sort of a limit as to how much detail he can shove onto it.

Make sure you remove the flat meshes on those models, they're for post processing and are transparent in game. Those Halo Reach models are the most detailed you're gonna get, all the details done for the mod are in the textures.

wow 800k poly's, thats almost as good as this:
http://coolhandgraph...ccs-battle.html
this is the most detailed 3D model i ever saw
i wish i had the time/skills to make such good 3D models
it's also true i wouldn't be able to print all the details, but i think that wouldn't be a problem

i know, it's crazy, it would never be able to convince myself to start making such a model, let alone finish it...
