ON average how many SMACs do you guys use?

Let me see here.... I want to say between 10-16 depending on the gravity well type, the game time, and Location.

If you go back far enough in the MOD DB SOTP gallery, I'm sure their were some model snaps of the covenant starbase. Similar in design to the UH but smaller considering its 30km size (bigger than the plot device) so obviously it will be scaled down.

In fact here it is-

Spoiler

This is the very WIP model for the Covenant Starbase. This is not the Unyielding Heirophant, but a smaller cousin. UH would break the scale of the game given her immense size. Model still needs lots of touch up, but this is the general shape of her.- Unikraken

I would probably suggest that ends up as the Covenant repair station. Or do we have a custom model on that already? I can't remember.

I think its supposed to cover both, as if I recall were planning to have it be a "turtle", so you would not to build repair platforms, but this. But my memory is crap, so dont take this as scripture :P

Whenever I play (haven't in a bit) I tend to have one planet/handful of planets set up as defensive points. I fill those entirely full of mines, with a bunch of Smacs between the planet and edge (closer to edge), and several fighter hangers. Those planets get a fleet/ships parked on them while I have another bouncing around helping out.

Then, whenever I go on offense I merge all the fleets together into a giant glorious steamroll.

i found a defense formation that makes covie fleets flee. 1 anchor station with aux. gov. full armor/hanger upgrades and last upgrade point of the ability that allows stations to repair near by allies. Surround it with 4-5 hanger bays 1 defense co-ordination matrix i think its called then max out with smacs and mine to give the covies a nice swift smack.

It's worked with large Covie fleets on a normal so called "defenisve" mode

Sorry for spelling errors

Impressive, but where do you place this in reference to your planet? That could make your defense much more effective.

generally i place my shipyards, reserch centers etc and all that right next to the plaent and i place the defences in between the lanet and the major phase lane but if there are  multiple i just place all structures in the most distant corner. I forgot to mention set all 24 fighter/bomber squads you can get to fighters for added aa protection

Once upon a time, I played this game called Neo Scavenger. After being beaten to death several times, I decided I liked it.
