Just wondering, may there be humour in the script?
Posted 26 February 2014 - 05:13 AM
Only one thing, canonically there are no forerunner weapons aboard Infinity.
Yeah that was the first thing I noticed but was already pointed out. >:

I thought it had forerunner lasers? or was it just the engines?
and yes humor is certainly appreciated

Uni was convinced (and convinced others and myself too) that infinity has some sort of energy weapons, they turned out to be shit MAC animations.

I would like to see a very elaborate line depicting the Infinity deploying Stridents into battle, when this specific ability is used. Since that scene (6 min onwards) in Halo: Infinity made my mecha-sense (play on spider sense) tingle like it had never tingled before (which is a good thing ). I realize they don't say much on the chatter in the background in the actual scene, but this calls for some great procedural chatter IMO. So here's what I would suggest:
Captain Infinity: "Prepare Stridents for Launch"
Captain Strident: "Stridents ready, requesting launch procedures"
Captain infinity: " Launch bays open, prepare to release Stridents in 3, 2, 1... Mark"
Operator 1: "Releasing docking clams, Stridents into Battle"
Operator 2: "Sending targeting coordinates to all supporting aircraft" (this is a play on the actual chatter)
Captain Strident: "Strident x/battle group to positions, happy hunting"
So this may be a little elaborate, but you guys catch my drift.

Can't they be gastropods rather than bivalves?
Hahaha, sure they can be. Thanks for pointing it out though. I obviously meant docking clamps, but I'll leave the typo there for others to enjoy this error
