The whole Halo 2 Flood mission set. It was dark...and scary...and hard. Extremely hard on Legendary.

When it turned out Spartan Ops was for gold members only. That was the last day I ever played Halo. Barely turned my Xbox on since then.

Likewise, I never want to play halo online, and never want to play a campaign with random people.

Yeah, they were pretty difficult. Especially when you go up against Scorpion tanks. I do like the one mission as MC where the flood show up, you can just run through the level in 5 minutes by just sprinting past everything (even on Legendary), although picking a brute shot is a must for the melee attack killed flood in one hit.

Yeah Halo went down a dark path with Halo 4. I don't get why the true skill model for Halo went away, it was unique to Halo in that it promoted competitive play in an arena shooter. Now it's just a poor arena shooter with a COD infrastructure. 343 doesn't know how to make a Halo game.

Campaign was too short. And i had to keep thinking to myself "the good mission sets must come next".

I didn't have to much of a problem with Halo 4 itself, the campaign was pretty well done but the level design wasn't special (turn of generators, kill enemies, repeat, replacing 'generators' for terminals or pretty much anything that has a button'. Spartan Ops was nice but had the above issues, forge died with Halo Reach, in making it easier to forge they took away the creativity that made maps special. The main issue, as I had with reach, was actually the progression system. I enjoyed it at the time but Halo, to me, was about running for the guns, proving how good you were on a strictly level playing field. Sure tank beast ghost but that's because, for one reason or another, you got to the tank first. Progression systems and classes are fine in some games but in Halo, the last thing I want to be thinking was 'well you only won because of armour lock'. Halo 3's multiplayer had almost the perfect formula in my opinion, every Halo since just hasn't had the sheer staying power. I don't criticise 343 for doing a 'bad job', they just couldn't recreate something without copying it entirely.

If you look at the numbers halo 2 had the longest life span because it was simple. Halo 3 improved that so much but like I said the per game progression like cod just doesn't keep players. If they did true skill and progression I wouldn't have cared.

My most memorable Halo moment was the first time I played Halo: CE. Except it was the PC port on CD and i was running it on Windows XP, or was it 98... I forget.

This is not a happy memory. It took me half a year to finish the game due to the amount of lag, I swear it was going at least 8 FPS. Also the volume never worked on it so I didn't hear a single dialog.

But I was like 10 so I had no idea. Looking back it though, I question... what the hell was I thinking

Low pop cap? Even 3v3 on Fort Deen was too small of a map when everyone had max cap.

Agreed. When more of my (online) friends still played a lot of xbox, we would have a giant stalemate at the energy barriers for HOURS in the middle, with occasional attempts to flank left or right which usually failed. I was crazy good at the time, like hawks in 6-7 minutes good. I'm horrible by comparison now since I haven't played it in or forever or very often in general and a decent amount of my friends completely switched off for PC gaming and one... uhh kinda died. Frozen Valley is still the greatest map in that game though.
Anyways, the pop cap was a little below what I'd like it to be, but it was pretty good even still.

Halo: Reach Invasion or BTB I can't remember but it was on Graveyard basically me and my buddy are pretty much gods among mortals if we have the hog.

So we get the Chaingun hog and we go the games ends with me sitting at UNFRIGGENBELIVABLE same goes for my buddy we had a total of 83 kills combined that match from when he was on the Chain gun and when I had gotten a hold of the Scorpion and he was on the MG of the Scorpion.

So yeah put me and him in a Hog or Scorpion we pretty much become death for any enemy that gets to close.

When I die, please bury me deep! Place an MA5 down by my feet! Don't cry for me, don't shed no tear! Just pack my box with PT gear! 'Cuz one early morning 'bout zero five! The ground will rumble, there'll be lightning in the sky! Don't you worry, don't come undone! It's just my ghost on a PT run!”
