Which is frankly annoying, I don't know who is and isn't one of us now.

Try researching both levels of infection... The fleet sizes drastically increase. The last game I played with me & Just a couple of ais I researched both levels & in almost no time at all I won by flood default. After pressing the "keep playing" button, I discovered flood fleet sizes ranging well over the hundreds(no flood planet either). So a, I hit some sort of glitch, or b nerfing is required


ok, in the public beta, this is normal, and this is actually the reason why infection is being nerfed, because the average player gets overwhelmed by infection ships. In the playtester version, scale the fleets to 1/5th of the size, and have one raid every 10-15 minutes. The next patch is going to be way better for people like you guys, because they are getting rid of infection for the time being

That is true, but the problem you were referring to is that playtesters were unable to recognise other playtesters. I do agree that a playtester rank would be very useful though, as the banner can be used by anyone.

I decided to just put "playtester" in my sig for now until a more permanent solution is available

I don't think infection needs to be removed, but I do think it could follow what it's in-game description is. Scaling down the fleets(which my version deals with) to at least 1/5(more preferably) the current fleet sizes would be decent. Afterall, I believe you should always have at least some defenses in the late game for your core planets, cause what would happen if your enemy decided to skip over your reinforced planets & go for the unprotected ones? With infection, you would be reminded to do that(& I say that the random flood raids should be kept to a max of 7 ships, just sayin :P)

For the flood ships I think they should derelict looking ships based on every other faction. Like a halcyon with flood growths and parts missing, tentacles and the like.


.....but since they dont have time for that atm the moment they can't so we will need to just make due with our own imagination. Plus im not sure if you can convert a ship that way by actively changing its appearance.

I know they are doing other stuff. And not convert. Redo the models but they already have the models so it would be faster to make it look floody rather then make new flood models.

I kinda wish the flood had cap ships later in the endgame because they become more of an annoyance than an actual challenge. I think it would also be lolz trying to fend off high charity because I actually wouldn't mind a fleet or two to be destroyed during the sheer carnage. Overall as the player's become more powerful so should the flood IMO.
