It doesn't matter, its the fact that we have 3 ships that look the same in terms of silhouette.

well yeah.. they have the same base hull that, that would be obvious

If you remember correctly, athens was a capital.

So what's the point? I rarely see Athens spam even if it's a cruiser.

I remember the cheaper Eion spam that used to break the balance and bring every late-game battle to a fighter cluster-fuck.

this. nothing pisses me off more than sorting through my capital ships (i upgrade them all at once) to select abilities and constantly fucking selecting athens carriers. I WANT MY NUKES DAMNIT NOT SOME SHITTY CARRIER. Honestly, if you want a carrier, the Thermopylae is a much better alternative. Shivas, bombardment, etc. Strike craft are more or less useless unless you're the Covenant anyhow.

Yeah I agree, Marathons are my favorite ship overall(WHO DOESN'T LOVE 42 DEATH MISSILES COMING YOUR WAY FOLLOWED BY MAC ROUNDS OF DEATH) but if I needed a ship for fighters(regardless of it's cost in both resources and supply) Thermopylae is the way to go in my opinion.

The athens looks crap.
