"When the storm comes, You can never hide... only run"

-me, just now

When the covenant first started their assault upon humanity It was made crystal clear things like bomb shelters had little to no use when they started glassing. No one could truly survive once a planet was glassed and shelters just gave you a grave to put your self in. I suggest we have a Defence Research Branch for Evacuations.

To start it you require two civic labs

The First level makes it so a third of your population will leave the planet when it starts becoming bombarded and will be sent to the closest ally owned planet. if the attack stops or if the planet is once again owned by you the population that was rescued will return allowing for the planet to repopulate and rebuild a little quicker.

A Second upgrade Will allow each ship sent out to have two Longswords body guards that will attack any vessel who targets it.

Note flood can infect the trasport vessels and if one lands on a planet infected you will loose the planet, but the ships are slow moving and will allow ou to send a strike craft to destroy it before causing damage.

Hate to crush dreams, but hard coding prevents anything like this from being done I believe. Though something like this would be interesting to see if it were possible.

I thought of a cheap but possibly viable way to kinda do that. You could rename the string for "toggle abandon planet" to "Evacuate planet" or something, and just make it so if you abandon a planet it gives the player a sizable amount of resources. But not too much.

You could also change the description to something like "The UNSC (or Covenant) abandon the planet and evacuate any civilians and high value assets they are able to recover.

then boom. Couple thousand credits and maybe like 400 metal and deuterium

Only problem with this is someone could make a infinite material loop on say a dead asteroid by colonizing immediately after abandoning then abandoning again. Also, hard coding could be a issue here.

Was about to say this. The time for abandoning planets is still stupidly high though, something like 5 minutes.

Stripped to the Core is an awful mechanic and can only be used by humans. It has no place in this mod, and due to this I do not foresee it's inclusion in any way, shape, or form.
